Training Matters (TM)Â has won the award for Best Educational Support at the Avicenna Media Awards 2019.
It was TM’s new Body Talk CPD series for pharmacy technicians that stood out and helped secure the accolade, with the judging panel – which consisted of Avicenna members, retail colleagues, head office staff and representatives from the Awards sponsors – commenting that they were “impressed with the breadth of the educational support [TM] offers to the wider pharmacy teamâ€.
Presented at Avicenna’s 11th Media Awards on 31 January in the impressive surroundings of City Hall in London, the TM team celebrated with almost 100 guests from the pharmacy industry and trade press.
Commenting on the win, Helena Beer, editor of TM, said: “We’re delighted to have been recognised by Avicenna for their Best Educational Support award. As a magazine we’re committed to supporting pharmacy technicians and the wider pharmacy team in their ongoing learning, helping them develop skills and knowledge to positively influence patient outcomes and customer experiences, as well as enabling pharmacies to succeed during challenging times in the sector. 2019 saw us further develop our training portfolio and we’re excited to continue to expand and improve our offering in 2020 and beyond.â€
